NEWBORN

Oh, the joy of holding your tiny little baby for the first time! But they grow up so fast, and you do not want to miss this chance to capture portraits of them so you can cherish this moment in life forever.

Newborn sessions are BEST to take place in the first 5 to 14 days of life. They can be done as late as 30 days – but newborn posing ‘can’ be harder to achieve and more wide awake photos ‘can’ be expected. This doesn’t bother me, just informing parents of possibilities. But keep in mind, baby acne and colic set in around 14+ days.

To ensure getting on my calendar in ‘prime’ newborn time, it is BEST to book your newborn session while you are still pregnant. It takes time for me to plan and create each session unique to you.

Types of Newborn Sessions

Depending on the style you desire from your session, there are a variety of options to fit your needs.

Fresh 48

Studio

Lifestyle

Fresh 48 sessions are relaxed and not as posed. They take place in the hospital room within the first 48 hours after delivery. I am there as a fly on the wall to capture immediate family with the newborn.

Studio sessions are posed and planned with various props and set ups. They take place in your home or in my studio space. I will concentrate on the newborn but we can add immediate family.

Lifestyle sessions are more relaxed, candid, and not as posed, and done in the comfort of your own home. I use what’s around. I am there to capture immediate family with the newborn, as well as pets, if desired.

Booking retainer for Fresh 48 & Newborn Sessions start at $200.

Booking retainer for Newborn + Family Sessions start at $300.

Preparation is KEY

Parents are emailed the newborn prep guide prior to session. This is key to helping a session run smooth.
